Album Notes

Paul Silveria performs solo banjo in the old time \"claw hammer\" style. His songs range from up tempo instrumentals and novelty tunes to country blues and moody mountain ballads. Paul often performs as a rollicking one man band with drum, tambourine, kazoo, bell, spoons and more! Paul plays at pubs and cafes and, in the warmer months, can be found at farmer\'s markets all over Portland.

Paul performs for children as the banjo-slinging, old-time singing \"Professor Banjo.\" The Professor entertains children with sing-a-longs and dancing games set to lively old-time music that parents can enjoy, too!

Paul is also a traditional old-time square dance caller and has called at Pick-A-Thon Roots Music Festival, the Portland Old Time Music Gathering, and Chicago\'s Old Town School of Folk Music as well as at grange halls, community centers, and other venues across the Northwest and beyond.

A fuller sound than you expect from solo banjo, although that phrase seems like selling the great one man band stuff on Rubens train short, and C-H-I-C-K-E-N has already improved my abysmal speeling.
