Album Notes

proGrammar does it again with another dope collection of pop classics recreated entirely with beatboxing and singing! Using nothing but his mouth and his vocal cords, Grammar hits you with 13 brand new tracks of a capella awesomeness in \"Somaphone 4: Heartbreak\". The perfect break-up album, \"Somaphone 4\" features such classic tearjerkers as Neil Sedaka\'s \"Breaking Up Is Hard to Do\", Smokey Robinson\'s \"The Tears of a Clown\" and \"Desperado\" by The Eagles, all of them updated with a modern, hip-hop sensibility and the freshness of the artform known as beatboxing (using one\'s mouth/voice to emulate any instrument known to humankind.) Having been classically trained as a singer since age eight, and a hip-hop fanatic since even earlier, proGrammar delivers a musical tour-de-force that incorporates the best of both of these worlds, laying down track upon track of vocal beauty that will leave you amazed, entertained and begging for more! Throw these tunes on your system and put it on repeat, whether to rock a party or cry yourself to sleep. They\'ll most all be familiar to you and soon become your preferred versions. Enjoy!

Programmar is fun to listen to. The songs he chooses to cover make for an inherently pleasurable experience. The songs are a little fun, but filled with earnest effort. You can tell this is mostly the genius of one man alone, yet in the greatest way. This is the second album of his that I have purchased through CDBaby. I could not possibly be more pleased with the service that CDBaby offers. 'Tis fast and cheapa cheap!
