Album Notes

Black Chapel is the public debut from the one-man band Project 25, featuring Johnny Melrose. The album has all the pieces you'd expect from a veteran rocker. There's blues featured on "Black Chapel" and "Fool". There's classic rock on "Salute The Batter" and "Thirteen Revisited". You'll hear a slight country twang on "When The Cue Ball Moved In" and "The Little Things". Acoustic groove fans will appreciate "I'll Be On My Way". There's even stripped-down garage rock near the end, "Mad Bomber". This album is perfect for those who appreciate rock the way it used to sound, the way it was meant to sound.

"Black Chapel" It's moody blues, though no relation to the legendary English band.
"Salute The Batter" Classic tribute to the underdog....
"I'll Be On My Way" Still don't know what you want to be when you grow up....
"When The Cue Ball Moved In" Those managers can lose it when you buy them a pool table.
"My Honor" Detroit at its finest....
"Mr. Starr" Featuring slide guitar and minimalist lyrics....
"Thirteen Revisited" Featuring hot leads and minimalist lyrics....
"Shoo Bee Doo Coolaid" For all those credit unions smelling the riches of being a bank....
"Fool" Rattlesnake blues for George and Bo....
"The Little Things" It is indeed the little things that hurt the worst.
"Benevolent Tyrant" A loose instrumental with lots of colorful reverb and echo....
"Mad Bomber" Garage rock; Unibomber meets Oklahoma City....
"They All Fade Away" Dark acoustic instrumental....
"Your World" Ending on a positive note....
