Emerge is the second CD from the DW Project. It was produced by former Over the Rhine guitarist Ric Hordinski at Mersey Beat Studios in Cincinnati. The project includes 8 original collaborations between Ric and bandleader Dan Walzer. There's also a salute to the work of pianist Bill Evans and jazz icon Miles Davis as the DW Project also performs Nardis. It's a captivating journey through jazz, fusion and world music.

In these days of so called Smooth Jazz, it is refreshing to have a recording that dares to experiment with the various styles, tones, and instruments of the genre. I put Emerge on in the workplace to keep my creative juices flowing! Personal favorites: Blues for Munk, Nardis (love the bass solo), and the drums on Samba De Verdad (provided by DW himself.) 5 star recording. Read more...
