ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
PROJECT is a passionate, high energy chamber music ensemble comprised of three virtuosic composer/performers from Brooklyn, NY. Blending their classical training with an eclectic taste in musical styles, PROJECT has made an impact on audiences of all ages. Bursting onto the scene with their landmark videos, right out of the internet generation, PROJECT is a musical experience defining a new level of entertainment!

With their follow up album "Brooklyn", PROJECT has collected some well known staples from their live show. Many of these tunes were worked out for the stage on the road, and have been featured in a wide variety of concerts and settings all over the world. Featuring covers and originals and even complete overhauls from the likes of Django Reinhardt, Duke Ellington, Theolonius Monk, JS Bach and Tchaikovsky, PROJECT have assembled a balanced album showcasing their unique take on live music. Also finally unveiled is the much anticipated Brooklyn Suite, a collection of tone poems from the world they are surrounded by in the city of Brooklyn.

"Brooklyn" dawns....
My first piece of advice, after listening to Project's second album "Brooklyn", is to listen again. And again. The new album displays the trio's evolution as artists and master technicians. The most obvious example is that the tracks are recorded live, which hits the listener like a ton of bricks early in the initial listening. With "Brooklyn", Project has managed to establish a definite sound unique to their productions. "Brooklyn" offers a suite, just as the first album "Winter in June" did, that seems close to the band's heart and identity. The last track is arrangement of "Peter and the Wolf" which gives the listener a taste of Project's live-show-vibe, which is never to be missed. So, until they come to your town, listen again.

Nice...
This is very good. It's well thought but is missing out on edgynesss compared to he first one. I'd like to see them go mental at some point. And I'd like to see them live in Greece, which is very unlikely... lol
