Album Notes

Project out of bounds is a four-piece rock-reggae group from San Diego, California.

Their style can be compared with the likes of other Southern California rock-reggae groups such as Sublime or Slightly Stoopid. However, where other bands of this mold add punk and ska in between the reggae cracks, out of bounds pounds out loud rock which can sometimes be slightly progressive or even metal-like. And yes, there is nothing but sweet roots, dancehall, and dub reggae to fill out the rest.

PROJECT: out of bounds is truly one of the most versatile reggae bands in SoCal. Kris Asgharzadeh, who is known to some as “The Wildman”, projects a loud and gritty, yet harmonic vocal style that can be comparable with H.R. of Bad Brains or Reggae Legend Buju Bantan. This unique vocalist is accompanied by a superb drummer in Ryan Rutherford, and trippy lead guitarist Austin Lorber, who adds a psychedelic element to stamp the sound as out of bounds.

PROJECT: out of bounds, with its lively upbeat rasta-rock will illuminate any venue with rays of creative vibes, which will have crowds dancing and rocking to the bounce of bright as well as dark swells of emotion until the sun sets over the San Diego coast.
