Album Notes

PROJECT TRU's Debut Album "A Twelve Piece Band" Is A Fantastic Venture Into Funk, Rock, & Soul That Is Meant To Move To.

As Quoted By Rich Kane, (Writer For O.C. Weekly) "PROJECT TRU Has A Very Santana/Neville Brothers/War Vibe".

Leaning Towards A More Adult Oriented Rock Style, PROJECT TRU Has The Uniqueness To Appeal To A Younger Audience As Well.

As Engineer, Producer & Songwriter, Robert Trujillo Has Taken His Vision Of Funky Bass Lines, Rock Guitar Edge, Vocals With Soul, Latin Percussion, And A Full Horn Section To Make An Electrifying Debut Album !

REVIEWS

You have got to see this band live!
author: Hugh, Buena Park ,O.C.
This is a 12 piece band that comes at you with all guns blazin'...funky basslines, rockin' guitars, smoking horns, husky male and female vocals, groovy drums & percussion. This band likes playing together and you can tell. While lyrically they tackle some serious issues Project Tru are never pretentious. Project Tru has some 80's influences (in a good way!)but there is also a funky, bluesy feel to their sound. This all comes together to create a unique sound that is both energetic and soulful. I recommend you buy this C.D. but then you have just got to go see this band live. Its a rare thing to see so many musicians on one stage, without egos, just loving the music.
