paul roland's last work
author: Renato Caggiano
Paul Roland's new collection of adventures and musical tales visits the world of Edgar Allan Poe and, then, of Jules Verne and goes on with many more stories about myths and legends ( like ' Leatherface ' ) and folklore, including native americans, the Devil ( alias ' the great deceiver ' ), sorcerers and magicians and, even, a reminiscence of 'Jack the Ripper' atmosphere. More adventures than gothic this time, I must admit, sweet acoustic folky ballads with traces of the 70's scattered everywhere and, even a bit of country style with slide guitar and banjo ! So, a bit less of dark scenaries and psych and more relaxed tunes than ever, but the sensations are good and this is enough for me and, hope, for you too. Strictly recommended.

Great new album
author: Frédéric Nozais
Paul Roland's voice is as good as ever. As one can tell from the titles of the song, the tunes are kind of more of the same. Very melodic, very witty, very unique. Sweetly grotesque. A treat
