Album Notes

"Lyrically, Pronsky writes engaging words that get you to raise your brow and give a second listen... she uses clever metaphors to aide in the development of her writing."
              ~ The New Hampshire (03/11/05)

"More than just a solid band backing her smooth music and clever lyrics, it's Pronsky's voice that sets her apart from the stereotypical folk singer. The sultry yet sweet sound comes from years of jazz-voice training."
              ~ New Haven Register (01/11/2005)

"Evocative songwriting ... her rich, smoky vocals can warm a room like a crackling fireplace."
              ~ NewYorkCool.com (1/03/2005)

Brooklyn, NY native Rebecca Pronsky writes charming acoustic-pop tunes and performs them with both elegance and honesty. Her dark and clever lyrics are carried by her jazz-trained voice over groovy guitar riffs. Rebecca creates a sound that boldly blurs genre lines while staying true to a solid and accessible songwriting style all her own.

Rebecca has fast emerged as unique new talent in the New York City acoustic music scene, playing regularly at local notable venues like the The Living Room, Knitting Factory, Pete's Candy Store, Makor, and Southpaw. Rebecca also tours the northeast and plays at clubs as well as colleges and Universities.

"Milestone", Rebecca's first release, was completed just after graduating from Brown University. It is entirely acoustic, very raw, and exhibits Rebecca's humble and striking beginnings as an artist.
