Album Notes

BIO: Not many people know what it's like to grow up poor in South Central L.A. and neighboring South Gate. Not many MCs know both that and also what it's like to be part of the only black family in a town of less than 1000 people. He does. And somehow it helped make him Prose, a combination of skill, talent, personality and charisma that makes some people think he must be famous for something. His talent and charisma are God-given. Or good karma from a past life maybe, if you believe in it like that. His skills were earned over a lifetime of freestyling, writing and spittin'. His personality was shaped by never living anywhere for very long, and by exposure to all races, all ages, all belief systems. He's a cool cat, comfortable with the apparent contradiction between the spirit and the street within him. Like he says, the truth is the truth, no matter where you find it, and it's more about what it is than what it looks like, anyway. It is nice when it really is what it looks like, though. Prose isn't famous yet. But he never tried to be, either. Give him a minute.
