ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
~*Protea's second full-length album, dedicated to Isis the Siamese cat*~
Serena Toxicat is a priestess of Bast, Sekhmet and Isinephthys ordained in the Fellowship of Isis at Isis Oasis temple and ocelot sanctuary. Here, she joins with special guests tara ntula of Static Reflex and Matt Azevedo of Retribution Body to celebrate the Ancient Egyptian pantheon with gnosis and devotion in a matrix of ether and artful noise.
The track entitled, "Khufu," was performed in the King's Chamber of the Great Pyramid of Giza. Special thanks to Melissa Riley for recording with terrestrial means the invocations of deities therein.
Upon returning to her home in Oakland, CA, Serena erected a place of cat worship called, 'Temple of Bast, Divine Feline.'
She is currently developing a collection of works recorded in sacred spaces throughout the world.

Fabulous Voice
You are listening to the beginnings of Catwave music and the incredibly beautiful voice that is Protea. Her voice is mesmerizing, spell-binding and simply sends shivers up and down my spine, into my head and through every nerve-ending of my body. It is a treat, a happening and a mind-bending event all at once. Be very careful, though, for She is very addicting.
