PROVENANCE
From the original...a place of origin...a work of art in its original form.

Provenance, a new gospel music ensemble, takes its name from a word that implies that every good and perfect gift comes from God - the true original!
The group's music is a work of art, a gift from the Original Source - the Source that is God, our Creator.

Provenance is an amalgamation of six of the most extraordinarily gifted musicians and vocal stylists in the tri-state area; Warleen Allston, Leeanne Davis, Annette Evans, Sharlene Nelson, Carlton Pope and Don Corey Washington. Everything one might desire musically is embodied within Provenance, a group that strives to embrace a wide variety of musical styles -- to truly offer something to please every musical palate.

Their mission is to combine their talents in order to excavate the very essence of what music is; to explore the complexity of music, as well as its simplicity; to exhibit their creativity and their unique artistic styles; and to express their musical discoveries to the largest possible listening audience.

The music artistry of Provenance has enthralled mainstream and gospel audiences alike. Their performance at the Opening Ceremonies of the 2002 U.S. Open in New York sparked such excitement that they were invited back to perform at the Closing Ceremonies. Later on that year, Provenance brought the house down as the opening act for the dynamic CeCe Winans at a gala celebration sponsored by former New Jersey Secretary of State DeForest "Buster" Soaries. During the fall of 2003, Provenance was honored to be the guest of the Institutional Church of God in Christ Radio Choir, as they recorded their historic 28th musical project. Most recently, Provenance has shared the stage with the renowned gospel giant Richard Smallwood.

Provenance, rising with celerity, closed out 2003 with their second international tour to Japan and the release of their first CD project, entitled "Provenance. . . from the Original". Provenance performs from the purest, most honest place within. The group's goal, both in music and in praise, is to keep it real!
