Album Notes

Released in 1993 in Grove City, PA, Main Moon by The Psuedonyms was the debut CD of this popular college act.

According to the Grove City College Collegian, "No one has been able to classify The Psudonyms' style, not even the band itself. They are slightly progressive, a bit new age, but mostly good hard rock and roll. One thing that cannot be said about this band is that they sound 'mainstream.'"

From the driving sounds of the instrument "Gadget Groove" to the dancing rhythm of "The Light of Night" to the searing lyrics of "Mirrors" to the folk sensibility of "By My Side" to the innovation of "Burning Bridges" to the pure happiness of "The Oh Song," the band combines some faimilar ideas, innovative methods and individuality to create an experience in original music.

A fan said, "It's amazing that just four men can deliver such a 'wall of sound.'" It was once said, "rock and roll is in the soul." It is described as a "feeling" more than a "style." The Pseudonyms fit this description perfectly.

The Pseudonyms were Jason Davis (guitar), Tom Gordner (drums), James Harton (keyboards) and Dan McNutt (bass).

The band members have now graduated to different lives, but music still matters to them. Members now have gone into successful music careers; one recently had his compositions featured on ESPN and Fox's "Titus" sit-com, another continues to perform live and record for several popular acts in Central PA.
