What a great sound a mix of country guitar and the beatles. You'd think that you'd had this cd forever as it has timeless lyrics and heart. You will like it and your girlfriend will love it. These guys will blow up in the next couple of years, so be the first to jump on their "soul train."

Classic, Timeless, Fearless, a CD you will never take out of your stereo.

I happened to see the Pawnshop Kings play in London with Rocco DeLuca on Dec 17th 2006, promoting this album. Having never heard their music before I was intrigued as these two brothers arrived on stage with just their guitars. Within the first song we had all moved a few feet closer to the stage, enchanted. Their lyrical balance is incredible and the harmony between these two has not been heard (to my knowledge, and certainly not to that level of ability) for decades. Having seen this performance, I was aware that there would be a discrepancy between the acoustic show and the CD. And I was concerned at the mere mention of "Country", it just didn't seem right, like an elaborate gold and chunky frame on a beautiful painting that doesn't need framing at all. But I was pleasantly surprised: The same perfect harmonies can be found throughout, from the fantastically crafted "Autumn" to the infectious "jam and bread". Every time I hear "She Sings" I can't help but hear it live in my mind and sing along like a bad karaoke performer (no one can match their vocals). The highlight for me though, is the closing "Home", a bare-bones tribute to the almost lost art of truly SINGING. Through this song the pair complement each others voices so well that you want to close your eyes and block out all other senses. There are no accompanying instruments except for a sweet 'music box' style tune played ever so slightly in the background, which is perfect for this track. It's short, sweet, beautifully written and performed, a perfect end to a wonderful album. I would recommend this album to people who love any form of music, and especially to all those who want to hear two guys who are about to become one of the biggest acts of an alternative genre (pick one). Mostly, if you love to hear music with a deep passion to it, and voices so in harmony you wonder if they are the same person, get this album, you won't regret it.

I saw the Pawnshop Kings play King Tuts in Glasgow with Rocco DeLuca on the 18th December. They were incredible! So I had to have the album. Not dissapointed, it more than lives up to my impossibly high expectations and 'she sings' is my favourite. I really don't think you can box this album into a genre - maybe it deserves one all of its own. Buy the album if you want to hear real music performed by people who are passionate about it!
