PSYCHOMANCER (si-ko-man-sur) was formed in September '97 in Michigan City, Indiana by Duston Bullard (bass), former drummer Damon Smith, Brad Calkin (guitars), Kevin Cochran (former guitarist), and Shawn "Mutilator" McCormick (vocals). After writing an all original set and performing numerous shows around the Indiana/Illinios area, they went to record a nine song c.d. entitled "AMID THE SMELL OF ROTTING CORPSES" at Thunderclap Recording in Hammond, Indiana. Due to financial difficulties and eventual lineup changes the CD was never released.

In late 98, Damon was let go and Kevin consequently left the band as well. Dedicated and determined to keep forging brutal metal, they sought out long time friend/drummer, Rob Lawrence from the band CHRONIC BLACK, and also going the band in 2004 was friend/guitarist Mark Schultz, hence the transmutation of Psychomancer was complete. Not wasting any time they went on to Thunderclap to record six brutal tracks for the self-titled CD. "PSYCHOMANCER (si-ko-man-sur)". "Si-ko-man-sur" was heavily distributed in partnership with Cursed Productions in early 2001.

The band has done much touring supporting the CD and gaining a huge and dedicated fan base. Playing with the likes of Mortician, Exhumed, Immolation, Six Feet Under, Malevolent Creation, Obituary, Napalm Death, Dead To Fall, Dying Fetus, Hell-Born (Poland), The Chasm, Between The Buried And Me, Reflux, Lividity, Waco Jesus, Disinter, Evil Incarnate, Reprobation, Rupture Christ, Sadomasomachism, Unhallowed, and Fog to name a few. All the while, writing new material for an upcomming CD, Psychomancer is currently signed to Rotting Corpse Records, assisting in our quest of metal domination!
