Biography

In April of 2003, former members of Quadraphonic, Stub Pullman, Sterves
of Neil, and Hyperdrop grouped together to form Pthalo and created
a common musical vision: to provoke a mood, a sensation and an
impression through performance and sound.

In November of 2003, Pthalo released their first self-titled full
length, "Pthalo". The songs on this record have demonstrated their
diversity by landing them featured spots in various outlets such as a
Maui Sports extreme kiteboarding video and the dark, independent
psycho-drama film "Midnight of the Mind" to be released in Spring of
2005. After 5 CMJ station adds in the spring of 2004, Pthalo followed
up with Prototypes and Old Models - an EP which features an acoustic
interpretation of the single "Gated" and b-sides from the previous
record.

In the summer of 2004, Pthalo continued up the success of their first
record with a video for the single "Chasm". Directed by Chris Scheidel
and produced by the band, "Chasm" received CVC/Billboard adds in 32
outlets including 120 Minutes on MTV Latin America, Fuse On-Demand,
ScreenPlay, Power Play Music TV and Launch @ Yahoo.

With a touring scheduling that has extended throughout the Northeast
and as far as Chicago, IL, Pthalo plans on continuing to bring their
music to the masses.

Refreshingly original and intelligent hard rock!
author: Mike Lasala
This CD is by far the most original hard rock album I've heard in some time. Not the least bit predictable. Guitar lines are nice and crunchy. Voss' vocals move seamlessly from somber to screams. Deep drums and synth round out the package making for a sound that is uniquely Pthalo. Buy this CD now!
