Album Notes

Ok, so the story as it goes...

In the fall of the year 2000 Maysam was struggling to maintain sanity as bandmate heroin-Mark sunk deeper into drug addiction and the once Traveling Perverts started going nowhere at all. Peat Henry was looking for something new since best friend and counterpart to St. Louis's legendary band Mini-Skirt Fetish left town. Mario was tearing his hair out working on a degree in jazz performance and composition and needed something to ease the synapses since the breakup of the Steven Hawking Quintet. And there was this guy named Gote E. Ote who had just gotten some chick pregnant and had no money to pay child support, so he needed something to do, too. Thus the Pubes were born.

No, seriously!

And from all this hell the shows just started happening... in basements, for fun, with lots of hilarity. And then somewhere in there an album got recorded, and a tour with St. Louis punk rockers Nineteen happened in the summer of 2002, then the decision to press the album was made, and recent live endeavors with bands like Sullen, Allergic to Whores, and The Whole Sick Crew have started the ball rolling in an unexpectedly good way. So here ya go, Wow Baby! Let's Go Wheelin'!

Love ya!

Wow, Baby! Let's Go Wheelin! What a f#$%in disc! From the first time Masam kicked my friend in the nuts to the time Pete about got in a fight with my skin head brother at a Halloween party, I knew these guys would do something great. I laugh my balls off every time I rock out to Psycodellic Skinhead. And they even have a picture of Casey Fisher in the jacket! I would have bought the album just for that. Buy "Wow, Baby! Let's Go Wheelin!" now or choke on your own vomit!
