BIOGRAPHY OF PUCKA KAYUBA

SINGER SONGWRITER/PRODUCER: Barry Liston
Born: Courtney Liston in Annotto Bay, St.Mary, at the
age of sixteen, he migrated to Kingston where he
attended the Jamaica School of Music and studied the
Rudiments and Theory of Music at the Creative Arts
Centre(UWI).

Liston was portrayed as the leading character (Clayton
Fargon)in the picture Novel "Triumph Of A Story"
written and published by Jamaican artist residing in
New York, Glenwood Lawrence, which had won an award in
1979.

Liston has written and produced several songs for local
groups and individuals. He has also co-written songs
with George Nooks, Pam Hall, Heather Cummings and Geroge
Faith.

He released his debut album "Impulse" on his own
Kayuba Sounds label in 1994 and in 1998 completed his
second album "MISSION". He has now completed his third
album "Peace & Love" on CD for the U.S. label Loud Dust
Recordings.

The multi-talented Liston believes his purpose in life
"is to bring across the elements of love, peace and
oneness, a total utopia" to each and everyone with his
music.

    the production level of this cd appears to be high,and the songs mainly deal with love and tolerance, very fitting antidote for todays troubled times.
