PURPLE VOID began life as a Solo project ,featuring the often quite odd compositions of Englishman, Purple Marconi. Some say it was a Mike Oldfield on Acid kind of thing. The first 2 albums were released in 2002(Thru the Wormhole) and 2003(Within the Nebula of Time) . Both of those albums are right here on CDBABY for your perusal and pleasure !
In the end of 2004 Marconi finally went outside again and found a group of fellow Muso's who wanted to share the Purple Experience and so the new PURPLE VOID was formed.
Currently (March 2005) they are working on a completely new concept album which will be released in 2005. You can hear some of the first studio cuts (as yet unfinished) at one of our websites

The music of PURPLE VOID is diverse ranging from almost standard "Rock" to way-out-there Wierd Jazz. Often instrumental it provides an interesting atmosphere and always a distinct PURPLE VOID sound.
The new line up in the band hails from England, Holland and the USA, blended into a oneness of musical mind.
