Album Notes

The Purveyors has been a band in one form or another since 1986 and has been both a small band (trio) to a "large" band (8 members).

It's always been an acoustic band that does music that crosses many genres with challenging arrangements and tight vocal harmonies.

The band's first CD was released in 1999 and is a compilation of over 10 years of live performances spanning 3 Purveyors bands each with different personnel and it allowed the audience to literally "take the performance home" with them.

In the broadest sense, the Purveyors do "Americana" music but have far ranging interests that will also encompass "Hip Hop" and "Techno" in their upcoming release "Coming To Terms" that will be out in 2002.

The band currently resides in Virginia and is reforming with new musicians to complete the upcoming CD and will play regionally throughout the area.
