Album Notes

The self-titled and produced debut album by PUSH, released for demonstration and promotional purposes was completed in February of 2000.

A collection of melodic and catchy pop/rock songs with strong hooks, insinuating vocals and harmonies, is sure to please the critics.

It's mainstream and radio friendly.

The band is founded by vocalist Martin Melius and guitarist Glenn Rottmann.

Their common goal of writing and performing music that is honest and will catch the listeners' ears after the first listen.

Although self produced and engineered, you will be captured by their focus on a song-oriented album with a commercial appeal.

PUSH wrote the songs largely based on personal experiences and subject matter which they can relate to with focus on love, life and politics.

Their personal favorites are Jaded, - a straight ahead driving pop/rock song. Winter Days, - with it's hypnotic verse and commercial hook, and In The New ? an acoustically driven pop/rock song with yet another strong hook. Others have also liked Some Days , Sugar, Calling Thomas Edison and Can You Feel It.

"It's hard to pin point which will be the most popular" says Martin, "yet the most likely to be appreciated with radio would be the three first mentioned.

Listen to them first, and then make your own call." The band looks forward to their continued efforts of writing and to taking the material to the next level with a major label deal and production.

Hooks abound

Hooks abound on this CD. I really dig "Jaded" and "Overated." These songs have especially affecting vocals. And they posses what's really missing in a lot of music these days: rythym and melody. Screw emo punk -- give me some Push.
