This CD takes outlaw country and bluegrass to a crazy new level. With insane fiddle and banjo solos, slammin drum beats, driving upright bass lines, dark moody lyrics, with a hard boot heel to the face. This is hard hillbilly fueled by amazing musicians

THIS FIVE PIECE HAILS FROM THE INSPIRING COAST OF SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA. COMBINING THE BEST OF TRADITIONAL OUTLAW COUNTRY, OLD TIME BLUEGRASS, ROCK-A-HILLBILLY, AND A MANIC DASH OF DIY PUNK.
THESE FIVE GENTLEMEN HAVE CREATED SOMETHING QUITE UNHEARD OF IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA: A FOOT STOMPIN', HEAD BOPPIN', HOOTIN' AND HOLLERIN' TOUR DE FORCE OF AMERICANA.
FROM THEIR HIGH ENERGY HITS TO INTENCE DARK SONGS THIS BAND IS GAURANTEED TO ENTERTAIN.
They are all extremely talented artists all have an interesting background in music. Josh Renner (lead vocals, guitar) started Pushin Rope with Sierra Colt 2 years ago. Josh was raised on a farm along side the Mississippi River and played guitar since age ten. It's only natural Renner continues the tradition of front porch jammin' here in California. Sierra Colt (upright bass) comes from similar roots. Raised in a hippie commune with strong values in music, Colt recalls many nights playin’ music outside around the fire. Shawn Donahue (drums) started out playin’ in punk band “C.D.M.” and brings the strong pulsing drive to Pushin Rope. Brent Gutzwiller (banjo) has lightning speed pickin’ skills and can’t seem to find his shoes. And on the softer, sensitive side of these roughnecks, there is George Bitsakis (fiddle). He has been studying classical violin since the age of three and breaks all his teachers hearts by using distortion on his violin.
