Peter Weiss, The Singing Scientist, awakens children and adults to the beauty and wonder of nature and informs them about the dangers facing our environment due to human activities. His CD "Happy Earth Day" is full of clever songs that won't drive parents crazy. The musicianship is excellent and messages are not preachy by informative and empowering.

Currently, Research Associate at the University of California Santa Cruz studying the ecotoxicological effects of atmospheric mercury pollution.

Ph.D. in Atmospheric Chemistry from University of Washington, 1995.

Lead author on 6 peer-reviewed journal articles.

Music performer for over 20 years.
