Raw, But Cookin', P. Willie's first CD, is available once again, and now is available to the entire world via the magic of CD Baby! A solo CD, featuring just P. Willie and his acoustic guitar, this album provides a more intimate insight to the songwriter's works. The album opens with The Yuppie Blues. This song was inspired by an incident that took place at Blues Weeks, in Elkins WV, when a BMW sped by a group of aspiring blues players. Black Crowes Starter Kit is about a local band that bickered and fought amongst themselves. The title came from a bartender, Jim, at the Steel Penny Pub, in San Angelo, TX. Angel by the Dartboard tells the story of a beaten down football player who was pulled out of his depression by a fan. Baby It's Time is a reflection written while traveling the long open roads of West Texas. Fear is Like a Dragon was inspired by a story from Ray Wylie Hubbard. My Songs for You is a songwriter's gift to his songwriting muse. Cold Dead Hand is a song any guitar player will appreciate. Cold Dead Hand was honored by being selected for airplay the first time it was played at the old Humble Time Radio Show. Finally, When I Look at Her I Think of You is a story about being reminded of one girl while in the company of another.
