Album Notes

Although he was born in Manhattan New York Qcfunk grew up in Ghana (West Africa).

As a child growing up in a developing country qcfunk found his passion for music through African drums.
At an early age he made several drums out off different trees and also learned the talking drum.
His love for Hiphop began when a relative from New York gave him a copy of a Run Dmc album.

He immediately convinced the members of his break dance ensemble to pursue careers in rap music'
and shortly after that made a name for him self as the "hiphop guy" in Ghana.

After graduating high school with honors Qcfunk earned a scolarship to study bussiness NYU.(New york).
He realised that his passion for music could be achieved in a real sense in college when a colleague took him to D&D studios in Manhattan.
He became so addicted to the studio that he would stand outside various studios in Manhattan looking for a way to get in.
On one of those occassions he met a gentlemen who eventually introduced him to Teddy Riley (Guy/Black street).
Meeting Teddy immediately expanded his network in the music industry. Many wanted to work with him because he was producing hiphop with keyboards and sounds in the era of samples and break beats. In actuallity he wanted to own a sampler but couldnt afford one, and so he would try as hard as he could to make original instruments sound like a sample and thats when he was nicked name quality control hence Qcfunk.Best described, Qcfunk's sound is like a combination of ethinic sounds and hiphop drums all caught in between funk and break beats.

Since then Qcfunk has produced beats for G-unit, Lil Kim, Eve, RuffRyders,Jimmy Cozier, Juelz santana, Buck shot, black street,Next. On the international scene Qc has worked with Artist such as Sphere of Japan,Grapluz of japan, Ap from Taiwan
and numerous artist in Ghana West Africa.
Qcfunk produced the score for Carlitos Angels, and love me (Baby legs entertainment) he is currently working on projects with Lions gate, and producing several jingles for Tv and radio commercials.
Qcfunk is yet to release a compilation album featuring artist he has colaborated with recently. In the near future he hopes to introduce the world to Afrikan Mob, a group he formed while visiting Africa ."there are no elevators to the top, i have taken each step at a time and i am ready for the world to embrace my unique talent in music."he says as he walks down the streets of New York hoping to receive a grammy one day for his God given talent.
