Quebec Connection is formed by Montreal natives, producer, Nathaniel Hebert, and collaborator/lyricist, Synergy Plus.

Introduced to the world of analogue synths through his prog-rock loving parents, Nathaniel Hebert has always been fascinated with the impressionist strains of potential contained in electronic music.

After receiving his first synth and graduating with a degree in electro-acoustics, Nathaniel's foray into music turned many leafs, trudging his inquisitive ear through the more organic side of the man-machine dichotomy; fusion jazz, dub, Moog exotica, IDM, post-rock, to the colder spectrums inhabited by EBM, industrial, and early new-wave greats.

As Quebec Connection, Nathaniel meticulously handcrafts each electronic sound on dodgy, wood-grained vintage equipment. Deftly building dense, detailed arrangements, complimented by home-made drummachine percussion, and pilfered claps and toms sampled from crateloads of old disco vinyl, Nathaniel successfully assembles a sonic palette, where the past and future collide in new and innovative ways.

Quebec Connection's, full-length album, Bonjour Expo, will be coming out in October 2004, through Protomusik Records. The CD culls a wide spectrum of influences, paired down into a conceptual electro-disco world; a world of white-on-black vector arcades, organic 70s-era percussion, the un-hip science of analogue synthesis, Nordique exoticism, stately Moog-brass ensembles, and crown corporation propaganda.
