Album Notes

QUES HAS A UNIQUE musical style with great lyrical content and vocal deliverance that far surpasses other mc’s. Idolizing rap legends such as Rakim, Biggie, 2 Pac, and Jay Z, Ques’ music focuses on issues like the struggles of poverty, fame and relationships. And, unlike most rappers, Ques’ songs paint a picture for his listeners of what life is really about.

Ques was raised for most of his life in the Bronx, New York. Born in Haiti in Ques’ life changed dramatically at age two when his father, a political dissident, was brutally murdered in cold blood. Ques’ music is a tribute to his Haitian roots, his father’s dream and the Bronx neighborhood he grew up in.

A star in the Bronx by 18, Ques became a local hit and began performing in clubs like Pyramid, Speed, West End lounge and Nuyorican Poets Café. Soon, he was opening shows for stars such as Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z, and Elephant man. His music was also included on the movie soundtrack for “Sucker Punch”. This momentum continued and extended into work in television and on Broadway. Ques is also ranked one of NY's #1 unsigned talents and continue to climb charts on almost every top mp3 Internet websites from allhiphopgame.com to Garageband.com. More recently, Ques has rapped and starred in a commercial for Reebok, Mountain Dew and has a collaboration with reggae superstar Elephant man.

Ques has the ability to rap in two different languages English and french creating a fan base not only domestic but international. He is currently working on the highly anticipated follow-up to his 2006 debut album, “Open Book" which has sold over 5,000 copies and continue burn up shelves.” This new album, as with his first promises to offer new looks at rapping, flow and skills. With his witty style and wordplay, Ques differentiates himself from other rappers, captivates his listeners and promises to continue as a rising star in the world of hip hop.

Although I have reviewed Ques a few time He know I love his shit. But for though of you reading this. It is refreshing to see an emcee with a social gauge and rymes about real stuff. The lyrics are well delivered and are about real life things. The beats and delivery have a mainstream feel. Why this guy is not on a major i have no idea.
