Christopher Beeeon has been writing and recording under the band name Quincy for ten years. On Baby Gun, Beeson goes solo with bare acoustic guitars, hushed bedroom recordings and pastoral electronic burbles.

The Tucson Weekly said that "Beeson's been playing and writing good music for a long time," The Oregonian called his music "atmospheric and thoughtful," and the NXNW judges panel described Beeson's music as "alternately grimy and twinkly folk blues."
