Album Notes

"It was early winter 04. I had recently finished a stint in the Coast Guard, and I was wandering around a bit. I was haunted by a Tennessee Williams play, and headed south with a large white envelope filled with a notebook and scattered notes on scraps of paper. The notes began to rise into songs officially in a seedy motel in Tupelo, MS--on my way to the Florida panhandle. The album was written and recorded in a week thanks to the gracious hospitality and help of Chris and Gileah Taylor. The album was released on Grey Hat Records."

This is beautiful, dreamy, other-worldly stuff - just a shame it doesn't go on longer!

Haunting and lovely
author: Anouk
This album is a treasure. Instrumentally and lyrically beautiful. Haunting and lovely. Gileah’s vocal compliment Quintin’s and give the album a very rootsy feel.

This album gave me shivers for obvious reasons and reasons I can't quite pin-point. Beautiful and mysterious. Thank you.

Conceptual, derpessing gem.
author: Inferno
"The most common theme in all art is love. It's the most treasured human emotion. With love comes the relationship and this is the concept Quintin Nadig portrays on "Slip Songs." The album tells a story of two lovers from beginning to end- from happiness, to pain, to finally acceptance. Soft, often arpeggio guitars and banjo, an accordion, autoharp, piano and occasionally the female voice of Gileah Taylor accompany the eerie, hushed, range-less voice of Nadig..." "...Nadig delivers exactly what he intended--to rip the listener´s heart out with a very mellow and conceptual album ." -T.J.
