Album Notes

Atlanta power-pop group That Rabbit's Dyn-o-mite! serves up lush melodic tunes with a pitch-black wit. With hints of The Pixies, Weezer, The Cars and The Strokes, TRD's unique sound is a bit hard to pin down, but the wide range of influences are tied neatly together with singer Zach McBrayer's rich harmonies and guitarist Justin Nihiser's bottomless hooks. If Elliott Smith fronted a garage glam band, it might sound something like this. This dynamic five-piece formed in the spring of 2004 in the wake of several previous projects to make dark and edgy music dressed up in a vivid pop sound. Since its formation, TRD has worked tirelessly to write and record its first full release. Completed in February of 2005, their debut work builds a bridge between indie rock and radio pop with a sound that is unflinchingly quirky, urgent and accessible.
