Rachel Eddy is a native of Morgantown, West Virginia. While growing up she learned fiddle and guitar from her father and folk songs from her mother. She played in several bands in and around WV, including the Morgantown Rounders, Stewed Mulligan and the Woodticks. Rachel recently relocated to Nashville where she recorded Hand on the Plow, joined by such fine musicians as Tim O'Brien, Mark Schatz, Russ Barenburg, Brent Truitt and others. On this album, Rachel takes traditional music to the next level of evolution, making it her own with beautiful singing and soulful harmonies, driving edge and fine production.

I bought this cd because Rachel joined my favourite bluegrass group Uncle Earl, and I met her with them.
Just after I met her I discovered that this cd is a masterpiece with pure and strong songs!
We keep playing it,on and on! Rachel, can't wait for the next one!
