The one and only Rachel Roberts has been writing and performing original music for 6 years, but has just begun to make her exciting breakthrough into the Akron music scene. She debuted at the Northside Bar in Akron a year ago and has been playing every Monday night there since. Rachel has opened for a wide variety of headliners such as psychedelic jam bands The Burning River Band and Greenleif, the American roots sounds of Roger Hoover and the Whiskeyhounds and the hard rocking eighties trio 3rd Space. Regardless of the format the audience has come to see Rachel and her music are always well received.

Rachel's music is pure pop with songs like "Mango","Living in Vain" and "Regret" infecting her regular audience with devotion. Her fans have memorized her lyrics and ardently request their favorite songs even before the release of her debut cd! Her music teases the mind and eases the soul with poignant phrases and catchy melodies. Influenced by artists such as Tori Amos, Ween, and Jeff Buckley, Rachel's songs are diverse and appealing to all ages. Her solo performances seduce crowds with quirky lyrics and irresistible rhythms delivered with a mysterious smile and angelic voice.

Rachel is an incredibly talented young singer/songwriter. Only 21 and relatively new at performing, she has made an impression on the Cigar Club members who witnessed her impromptu session. Her voice was angelic and her original music was enticing. If you haven't noticed, she is also stunningly beautiful. What a combination.
