Album Notes

Since the fall of 1997, rachel's fault has been writing and recording original music in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC. Started as a songwriting outlet for long-time friends Trey and Brian, a couple of songs soon turned into a band, a live show, and an independent release called "Standing In The Rain." With the early addition of Kurt on drums, the band was soon playing shows in DC and Northern Virginia venues and working on the first CD, which was finished in the fall of 2000.

"Standing In The Rain" is 10 songs displaying a variety of musical influences and styles, but solidly grounded in alternative/modern rock with a strong focus on songwriting, melody, and vocals. The long recording process and general trials of life forced the band to part ways with a couple of members soon after the release of the CD, and rachel's fault found itself back where it had started. Brian (Hulvey) and Jim joined the lineup in 2001 and the band has since reinvented itself with a fresh new sound and the same commitment to songwriting and solid musicianship.

Uniquely original, and notably forsaking the "sound of the moment," rachel's fault is currently performing around the DC area, in the studio working on a new CD, and continuing to write and play original modern rock music.

Very Catchy, Not just noise.

Do you ever feel like modern music is just a bunch of noise? Well not with Rachel's Fault. They definitely put the harmony back into rock. It is not hard core or pounding, but it still has great guitars and a heavy attitude during some parts of the CD. I think it is a great band for people who are into the lighter side of Hard Rock or into the heavier side of alternative. It is a great blend that is right on the borderline between the two.

This is a great. I'd like to leave it at that, but whereas people want somekind of backing to it... The Band itself sounds beautiful the songs are very diverse. I've been waiting a long time for this cd to come back in stock and it finally is and its much worth the wait. Lucky everyone else not having to wait.
