Album Notes

A former student at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Rachel Taylor is a fresh songwriter from the Boston area, who can easily be compared to the styles and voices of KT Tunstall, Norah Jones and Jewel. “Insides these Walls” is her 3rd solo CD release. Her first recording “Revolving” was released in 2001, a compilation of seven originals and one jazz standard. Shortly there after she joined a band of female artists called “Maeve”, who she has been performing with ever since. “When you are in a band, it is necessary to meld and become one with the other performers. Who you are is joined with who they are and that becomes a whole new being.” This album is an effort to explore once again who she is creatively on her own.
