Album Notes

The San Francisco Bay Guardian calls them "a buckshot of sound..."

One of San Francisco's last surviving bands, Radio Noise spans the dial from Rock to Reggae, Ska to Pop. If you can't seem to find much worth listening to on the radio, then you should pick up "What it Takes."

The band's pedigree speaks for itself. All have spent years in local SF bands and national touring acts. The vibe that comes from years of experience makes the music greater than the sum of its parts. You can feel it at their live shows, and on this CD.

The group's songwriter, Erik Noyes, grew up on the bands of the 80s like the Specials, the English Beat, Echo and the Bunnymen, Elvis Costello, et al. He is a seasoned veteran of such bands and Bad Manners, The Mr. T Experience, Hoodlum Empire and the Mudsharks. All of this experience comes to bear in an explosive sound. Track after track of mile-wide hooks will keep this CD in your rotation for years.

REVIEWS

I don't even have to review tihs

This is one of my favorite albums. The opening and closing tracks work perfectly, and everything in between is so excellent. Self-Destruction is a beautiful song, Scapegoat is very thoughtful, and Ghost is poppy and fantastic. The album is pure ska, and the band nails every bit of it. Buy this album right now.

Det svänger fett

Detta är en skiva värd att äga, liksom de båda tidigare Radio Noise-skivorna. En del av låtarna blir man larvigt glad av, och några får åtminstone mig att fundera över allvarligare ting här i världen. KÖP DEN!!

Where did this CD come from?
author: Brenton Klik
Umm, compaired to there earlier songs, this CD is a mile apart. Thier sound is completely different, and SO much better. Upbeat songs that make you want to skank, and an instrumental for good measure. If you've never heard them before, think of Reel Big Fish and take away all the sexual innuendoes. A must have for any ska fan.
