Raised by a caravan of Gypsies, tramps and thieves along the foothills of Andulusia, I chose a more normal life as a musician, catching a ride on a small fishing boat across the Atlantic Ocean to the United States landing in New Orleans by way of the Gulf of Mexico. Took to playing second-line snare drums in the French Quarter to support myself until Producer Malcolm Burn asked that I work on his next three projects at Daniel Lanois' Kingsway Studios. With enough credits to my credit I headed west settling in Austin, Texas for the next fourteen years recording with many kind and wonderful artists. It was here Waiting For Buddha took seed from a four-day jaunt back across the Atlantic to Amsterdam performing along the canals. Returning to Austin, work began in earnest for 'WFB'. Upon a slow, deliberate pace my little labour of love was finally mastered in 2006 yet didn't see the light of day until 2009 when Leonard Cohen invited me as his drummer and allow Waiting For Buddha availability to the public at his concerts. To call it a blessing is an understatement. I have learned much from Mr. Cohen with regard to patience and timing.
