Album Notes

The second studio album from The Ragbirds was conceived out of their love for world music and world travel themes.
Combining elements of folk, rock, and Celtic, Middle Eastern and African sounds with Erin Zindles poetic lyics and fiery musicianship, Wanderlove is the much anticipated follow up to 2005's Yes Nearby.

"The Ragbirds first album, Yes Nearby, garnered almost rapturous reviews, and this second release is sure to do more of the same!" The Ann Arbor News

"A terrific melting pot" The Detroit News

Listen and you can lose yourself, and find yourself, and dance with God! Because these songs set the world to music in the way of the perceptive, loving heart - they unlock things, grow with you, and comfort. This work is a blessing!

The Ragbirds continue to improve. This album is tighter, nicer, and even more fun than Yes Nearby.

Wanderlove by The Ragbirds is a one-of-a-kind CD - part folk music, part dance music - that will sweep you around the world and leave you drumming your fingers and begging for more. Lead vocalist Erin Zindle has a fresh, honest sound. The song lyrics are imaginative with vocabulary you rarely hear rhymed in songs (e.g., eternity, reside, fish tank). The rhythms and percussion are innovative (e.g., frog sound, Italian cars, pots and pans, along with unusual drums). The best songs are How Can I Say? and Medicine, but Tarantella, Brave New Beat, and Ypsilanti Song are excellent also. If I had to pick my least favorite song on the CD, it would be Religion. However, even that song, has a catchy refrain. In short, this has quickly become one of my favorite CDs. You won't be disappointed.
