The first song on this album is an upbeat, 90's style love song called "One and Only" . Blaze Beats, a producer on the album, also provides male vocals in this song. The title Track "Caramel" about a guy not keeping a date, is next. The rest of the album doesn't disappoint, switching between ethereal romanticism and down to earth conversation. A paradox that is relfective of Raiin's own personality.

Songs from this album can be heard on 90.7 WTCC FM Springfield and 89.9 CUTE FM Hartford

Born and raised in the small state of Connecticut where sooo many talented, undiscovered artists exist, Raiin has always been very creative, using her artistic talents since childhood. She won many awards in visual arts as well as poetry. At the age of 15, she traveled to Harlem, New York and Boston, Massechusetts for slam poetry where she started to grow as a writer. Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, and other neo-soul artists started to emerge and Raiin was inspired. She began to write poems along with music. She then decided at 18 that she would start writing songs and flew to Atlanta, Ga where she attend American Intercontinental University for Media Production. There she really got the taste of the music industry, meeting professionals and popular artists. During that time, she made some major life decisions that would influence her clean and postive image. Raiin creates upbeat and mellow music suitable for most public places. She had her album release "CARAMEL" at Gumbolive in Chicopee, Mass in 2006. Since then she has performed at local venues and her album can be found online as well as Reflection Emporium in Springfield, Mass.
She is also involved in the arts in New England, with programs such as Sankofa Kuumba Cultural Arts Consortium (CT)and Organix Soul (Mass.). She teaches drama/music/movement for an elementary after-school program and has written an African Fictional Tale entitled: "Funanya's Flowers"

Raiin is the Creative Director on RAINSONG. ARTIST DEVELOPMENT.

The voice of young Sharece is refreshing in some very open honesty. But it is not just about the singing of hers, it is also the lyrics that tell you she is for real. Just listen to Every Reason or my personal favourite One & Only and you will know what I am talking about. With much soul, LINDA We didn“t do a complete interview because time is limited these days, but at least she found the time answer my little questionnaire on soul in all its diversities. Raiin admitted that her biggest luster is chocolate which she would (almost) trade in for soul. Of course this kind of music means more to her than just a bar of mars or snickers. Little Sharece has been surrounded by souful tunes already when she was in her mothers womb. So far she might even pass on that talent to her kids later on. But this, only time will tell. In the meanwhile you might listen to her refreshing album Caramel which is out now. With much soul, Linda
