'Rock' is the second release of San Diego, CA based band The Railheads. The band likes playing music from many different styles.
'Rock' contains upbeat rock, blues, reggae, pop/punk, and funk music, with a couple of rock ballads thrown in for good measure. Rich harmony vocals and acoustic and electric guitars underpin many songs on the CD.
The band's full sound is produced by seven members playing numerous instruments (drums, bass, guitars, keys, and harmonica). Five different members share the vocals, including lead and backup singing.
You'll find a little of nearly everything on this CD!
If you love diverse music, this CD is for you!

Excellent Variety, strong melodies and vocals
author: Bill W.
When I reviewed the music, some songs I loved, some I liked and some I thought were just ok..but upon repeated listenings..these songs are 'sneaky'. I found myself humming the melodies and knowing the words after just a few listenings. As a result I purchased two CD's, one for myself and one for my son (who of course, had different favorites). This is one of the few albums in a long time where we can both listen and enjoy.
