notes

"When you hear a name like Shaynee Rainbolt, you might envision a blissed-out hippie from the Left Coast channeling past lives through a magic crystal. And even though this singer does hail from San Francisco, Rainbolt sounds much more Brooklyn Bridge than Golden Gate on her debut CD, From This Moment On. Her smooth, confident voice draws you in at once, creating an intimate bond, and when she launches into Harry Warren's "At Last" or the Gershwin's "Someone to Watch Over Me," you can't help but be captivated (maybe there is something to all that New Age stuff). In her capable hands, even the most standard of standards seems as if it's being sung directly to you. Whatever you want to call it-talent, charm, sheer magic-Rainbolt's got it."
David Murphy, Time Out New York

Shaynee's sophmore release, AT HOME was nominated for RECORDING OF THE YEAR!!!!
by the Manhattan Association of Clubs (MAC)

Jazzwise Magazine (UK)
"....Rainbolt's golden tone and interpretative intuition are undeniably seductive."

Jazz Times Magazine
"One of the most enjoyable singers around...pure poetry."

Jazz Improv Magazine: New York Jazz Guide
"...We're reminded of the power that a song can hold. Without a moment's notice, we're transformed....Swingin' jazz [that] relates to us all."

Just one year after relocating to the Big Apple from San Francisco, this terrific singer released her second CD on 33 Jazz Records (www.33jazz.com). Since moving East, Shaynee has established herself as a fixture on the New York music scene and with this new album, and her first International CD Release Tour!

This stellar album features Tony Bennett's music director, Lee Musiker, along with a host of New York Jazz heavyweights. With varied instrumentation (this is an amazing band!), interesting song choices (not your grandparents music), fantastic arrangements (check out track 5 a cover of Bonnie Raitt song that will knock your socks off) and downright FUN (track 6 In These Shoes? is so Sex In The City): This album puts Shaynee Rainbolt in a class all her own. Look for her in your town soon, and grab the CD to find out why all the critics agree that Shaynee Rainbolt is a star on the rise.

Time Out New York
“talent, charm, sheer magic - Rainbolt's got it."

Keep your eye out for Shaynee's upcoming project with Legendary composer, arranger, Russell Garcia. They are pairing up this Summer to record an ALL RUSSELL GARCIA project - composed, arranged and conducted by the master himself using his signature FOUR TROMBONE BAND. Booking for the 2008 RUSSELL GARCIA TOUR is in progress so get on the mailing list so you don't miss out.
