Reviews:

"An emotionally moving song can work in any style and enough of these songs capture the interest of the toe-tapping music fan in me, as well as the guy who wants to hear the story or the poetry."
-David Hintz, "Folk World"

"Unsurprisingly given their J.D. Salinger-inspired name, Raise Up Roof Beams has a literary bent, matching ramshackle country-rock-folk-whatever tunes to earnest words that range from wistful to sardonic." - Washington City Paper

A Wonderfully Honest and Emotional Record
As the world of jangly Americana gets more and more crowded, it has become increasingly difficult to weed out those who simply add in as many instruments as possible from those worth listening to. I assure you, Roof Beams fall into the latter category. There's a raw energy emanating from these guys typically heard from only the best rock and punk bands.
My favorite songs (but listen to the whole thing now!): Dinosaur, Diaspora, Hurricane
