Everybody knows the music of the english Band "The Beatles". But did you ever heard this songs played just on a fretless bass, in a instrumental version with no playbacks or overdubs? There are only very rarely bassplayers in the world, who can do this. One of them is the German musician Ralf Gauck. He is able to play a whole concert with his costum made Hofner fretless bass and the audience is surprised what is possible just on a bass. The German "pop foundation" voted him the last two years as the best German bassplayer. The foundation prized his extraordinary abilities to play the songs of the Beatles not only for musicians.
