This album represents a very listenable collection of some popular standards and some lesser heard ones.
Making an album like this has been a dream for a long time. Like many musicians, music touched my heart and soul at an early age. I started on percussion instruments and began singing soon after. I worked as a musician in my college years (majoring in Behavioral Psychology and minoring in Music) and after, at many Clubs in the Chicagoland area and in particular, the Manheim Road strip in its heyday.
The Songs:Let Me Love you not heard often, was written by Bart Howard known for Fly Me To The Moon and one of my favorites. Sometimes I'm Happy is a bouncy tune written by VinceYoumens also better known for Tea For Two. You Are The Sunshine Of My Life is a Stevie Wonder tune done in a big band style that really swings. Isn't It Romantic, The More I See You, Once In A While and Oh! Look At Me Now swing in the style of Johnny Hartman. Baubles, Bangles And Beads is done in a Bossa style as is the beautifully sad, How Insensitive. Time After Time and Laura, two of my favorite ballads are performed at a little faster tempo than usual. Misty Rain is a beautifully haunting ballad that was written by my friend, Roger Pauly who I have known since my teenage years. Roger is one of the finest Multi-talented musicians I have worked with. We had some great times together on the road and on the "Strip".
Many thanks to my Family and Friends for the support they gave me and for putting up with my "artistic tantrums".

All Arrangements and keyboard performances by: Alan McPike Alan McPike is undoubtably Scotland's finest keyboard player.Alan has worked with some of Europe's top vocalists and musicians, playing all genres of music including his favorite, Jazz. Alan works as a stand-alone musician as well as with various size groups. In addition to his excellent playing skills,Alan is an excellent arranger and arranged all the songs on this album. Alan's mastery of the keyboards and synthesizers is evident by his inspired performance. Alan is definitely a musician's musician. Great job Alan! Vocals by: Ralph Napolitano
