ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Ramblin’ Bones is the alter ego of Jay Bones, former front man for the popular South African ska band Fuzigish. In 2009 he delivered his critically acclaimed solo debut ‘Watching & Waiting’, a blend of mellow acoustic, best served on the rocks, further establishing him as one of South Africa’s premier singer-songwriters!

Influences for his new direction were many and diverse as Bones is a fan of the crooners like Sinatra, Patsy Cline and Chris Isaacs and has also always loved Cash and Springsteen. There is even a nod to modern day folk heroes including Sufjan Steven.

The new album, out March 2011, titled ‘Ramblin’ Bones & His Bloody Agents’ includes the addition of two additional members, ‘The Bloody Agents’, and while the focus remains acoustic, the sound on the 15 new tracks (ranging from the melancholic to the downright devilish) is filled out in all the right places….
