Album Notes

Ramy is an accomplished musician and vocalist with a passion to minister healing to those who hear her music. Ramy's experience and walk with God have enabled and inspired her to write her message and put music to it. Her first independent release, "Broken To Be A Blessing," is a clear, poignant depiction of answers to brokenness. Her message is of hope. Her cry is that people would realize the truth that there need not be any more hurting. Her award winning vocal and artistic talent demand that you stop and listen. She has both power and finesse and slides through the notes easily. Ramy has been accepted into the Cambridge Who's Who Honors Registry for her accomplishments in music and ministry for the 2006-2007 years.

Ramy has performed in various venues in the Nashville area as well as across the nation, Canada, Europe, and Asia. She is well received wherever she goes. In Europe, she placed 5th out of thousands in a Radio Talent contest for the Evangelishe Omroep in the Netherlands and was the only American to place. She was nominated Best Actress for her role as Domina in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" at the Renaissance Center in Dickson, Tennessee.

Ramy is down to earth, a people's artist. Her message is simple and real and her music stands apart from the rest. For those reasons alone, she will make a significant impact on the current music industry. (Portions of this bio were written by Michelle Emmons, Nashville, TN.)

Ramy is a member of The River at Music City, Nashville, TN, whose Pastors are Dony McGuire and Reba Rambo McGuire, 141 Belle Forest Circle, Nashville, TN 37221.

These musicians/record producers have made the following comments about Ramy's writing and/or vocal presentation:

Reba Rambo McGuire, "I was looking back over some of your old writings that I have...you have a real talent Kiddo. I encourage you to stir up those gifts when you have the time... lovingly, Pastor Reebs" (August 2006)

Lee Rascone, moderator for Writer's Night at the Hall of Fame Lounge eagerly invites Ramy to participate in performing at Writer's night functions. He is one of her greatest fans and loves to have her perform on his panels.

Romie Smith, moderator for the Writer's Night at Opry Mills, Nashville, TN stated: "Ramy, I got a whole lot of YOU out of your CD. I've not heard a voice like yours since Patsy Cline. You could sing the phone book and it would sell. You have an amazing talent."

Lauren Kitchens, Former Co-Host of the Morning Show 95.9 FM, The Fish, Los Angeles, CA stated: "Girl, you have Joan Baez feel...my favorite was "I Need You." It's a real peaceful CD... "

Albino Montisci, La Sorgente Music Italian ChristanMedia of Torino, Italy, stated, "The first thing I notice is the tonal quality of your voice and the peace that it transmits when I hear it. The style of music you have chosen is well adapted to your voice. I admire your ability to spontaneously transmit worship to the Lord in your songs."

John Pantry, Presenter, Inspirational Breakfast Show, Premier Radio, London, England, stated, "You have a beautiful voice ... Your songs are of a high standard. The Lord has indeed blessed you... I know that people would be moved by your voice and performance. Songs -- we have many -- voices like yours are hard to find. May the Lord bless your work for Him."

Nigel Coltman of Kingsway Records of Eastbourne, EastSussex, England, stated, "I really enjoyed listening ... you have a beautiful voice with both richness and range."

Ramy sings from a heart full of compassion for a hurting world
author: Drema Drudge
With gorgeous, flowery lyrics and orginial music this cd is full of heart! Ramy Bakke's compassion for a hurt world rings clear. You don't even have to know her personally to know this is someone who indeed has been broken and repaired by her Maker and continues to bless every life she touches. It's a rare gift, one that defies classification -- Ramy lives what she sings.
