“The loneliness we feel, it comes with being alive”

Randit is singer/songwriter Randy Yee. Strumming a guitar or finger-picking a banjo, he writes songs with strong melodies and structure. With an honest voice, he sings about truth, bitterness, the inevitable loneliness, the underlying sadness, the sweet nothings of blissful emptiness, the unavoidable illogical feelings of heartbreak, the never-ending racing thoughts that rape your mind when you're trying to sleep and then feeling and looking like a zombie the next day, zombies, the unexpressed self-expression because of self-doubt, self-depreciation, and self-destruction, and just being really tired. Basically, hopeful songs for people who are tired of life, but don't want to kill themselves.

Wolf with a Shield is an album of richly textured indie/folk-rock compositions and instrumentation (including banjo, guitar, mandolin, and piano). A year in the making, and self-recording and producing, Randit spent countless hours of frustration, sleepless nights, swollen ears, and bleeding all over the place to get all the sounds, recordings, and mixes just the way he wanted them. After finally doing so, he took it apart and started the process all over again. Perfectionists have mental issues and he does not deny it, but that only means one thing: The time, energy, and heart that went into the making of this album is very apparent in the music.
