Album Notes

This is the first disc from the Milwaukee-area band Random Maxx... the one that netted them Best New Band in the local weekly paper (Shepherd Express Metro) in 1999, and a Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) nomination for Best New Band in 2000. The first songs crafted from the four distinct voices and minds that comprise the supergroup Random Maxx. The first inklings of stardom foisted upon an unsuspecting public. The Random Maxx before the recording of their highly revered CD Rock Star Parking; before meeting the Lady of the Lake, before removing the sword from the stone and before creating a united, sovereign England.

Hmmmm.... I seem to have strayed a bit. In any case, let a few choice reviews from the Senseless Beauty CD catch your fancy:

"Each [member] has [his] own distinct taste, which is really cool! I'd have to say [Random Maxx] is probably the most eclectic local band I know of." - Melissa on WMSE 91.7 Milwaukee

"There are some scorching '70's guitar licks on the debut CD by Milwaukee's Random Maxx...Their original songs often feature four-part harmonies, and draw from the diverse interests of the members...Pastorius-like bass lines provide counterpoint to acoustic rock melodies." - Shepherd-Express Spotlight - February 3, 2000.

Not enough? Then you couldn't possibly be satisfied by the thrill of catchy tunes that stick in your head days after you first hear them. You cannot be sated by the synergy of big acoustic and electric guitars melded with the pure fire of 4-part vocals. In which case, I fear for your soul.
