ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Random Order has been playing the Toronto scene since the early 90's. Not bad for a band whose raison d'etre is to have a lineup that is changing, hence their name.

This disc is a wonderful romp of ska with a bit of funk/pop/punk and little ditties like a tongue 'n cheek cover of "Foxy Lady". This is not only a band that likes to have fun and groove but lyrically they also have strong social messages as a track like "Double Standard Girls" would attest to.

Essentially I would have liked to have heard more from Random Order as the disc has only 9 songs and I feel this is a bit of a teaser. More material along the lines of the extremely catchy "What's on Your Mind" would be exactly what the doctor ordered. That happy tune leaves me thinking Random Order is on the cusp of something great here. That perhaps there is a ton of wonderful Random Order ska vibes just waiting to explode to the surface! Patiently, I'm gonna enjoy the ride while I can and put in an order for more. (dj Skip - 4th wave)
