Album Notes

Founder and guitar player Randy lived and played in England and the US before he reunioned his german band Randy Rich and the Poor Boys, which originally was formed in 1997, in September 2003.

The line-up now`s better than ever. All of the three members are able to play minimum two instruments. And so even in a trio they can create the different styles from 50`s Country to Rockabilly and Rock`n`Roll. The boys play well-known songs, obscure late 50`s songs, instrumentals and original material. It`s also worth to mention the professionel harmony singing.

The trio toured 13 countries of Europe and 20 states of the US and made a big bunch of fans. Heights are performances in Hemsby, England and Las Vegas, US. Here is their first longplayer issued on Rhythm Bomb Records.

The musicians` skills made it possible to back up Rockabilly legends as Jack Earls, Glenn Honeycutt (Sun Records), Janis Martin (RCA) and Alvis Wayne.

Cool Modern Rockabilly

I've always been intrigued by bands that can do a lot with rhythm with no drummer. While there is a drummer on some of the tracks, much of the CD relies on rhythm guitars. The result is a very cool Sun Records era Johnny Cash meets 40's swing vibe. The band did a nice job of being true to both their rockabilly roots and their own unique sound. I highly recommend this CD.

great authentic country and rockabilly. the songs are exceptionally strong and the playing top notch. a lot of new bands doing the super neo purist kinda thing end up sounding boring and lifeless, but this record is an exception. highly recommended.
