Album Notes

It took two years of hard but wonderful work to end the cd “RARA AVIS” which has ten songs, all in English, 40 minutes of a well mixed atmosphere. But now, at the beginning of 2006, the band has the pleasure to give new sounds and emotions to old and new fans.
What Italian Newspapers say about us:
….the ten songs photograph a moment of grace e flourishing maturity, adding new shades to their kaleidoscope world of music. It starts with an “allegro” country tune of “Tired Torn A Part” to end with an aching “Our Father” but in between there’s also a catchy sixties of “Broken Promise”, electric urgency of “Shadow Of A Man” (with a great assolo of Gianni Borrione at the guitar) celtic sonorousness in “Grey Days” and the acoustic minimalism of “I Don’t Know” (which talks about the doubts you may have in life times). Everything put all together has given birth to a good cd, made with love and care, in which each 5 musicians gave their creative contribution without suffering the magical balance of the “ensemble”.
- LA VALLEE

…..even if America has become closer, RARA AVIS don’t forget their public, and presents to all their new cd. An occasion in which it’s possible to hear live the notes with a Scottish taste of “Grey Days”, an overwhelming “A Shadow Of A Man” and the delicacy of “Behind An Opened Door” and “Our Father” caressed by the voice of Elisa Ansermin and the guitar of Gianni Borrione. Without forgetting the rhythm of “Thing’s We Left Behind”……and who knows if RARA AVIS will soon leave behind ….Aosta Valley.
